Anei te Whenua, Anei te Korero Maori Community Fund

The inaugural Māori Community Fund supports Māori community groups sharing their stories, mahi and contribution to Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England.

Up to five groups will receive a $5,000 grant to create and run an interactive stall during a three-day community event in the Glen Innes town centre.

Who can apply?

The fund is open to Māori community groups working in:

• Glen Innes

• Panmure

• Point England

You do not need to be a registered trust or incorporated society. Informal collectives, kapa haka rōpū, whānau groups and marae komiti are welcome. Groups without legal status will need to name an organisation that can receive the funding on their behalf.

What will your group create?

Your group will create an interactive stall that shares your story across all three days of the event.

This could include:

• Kōrero and kai

• Hands-on activities

• Photographs or recorded voices

• Displays or demonstrations

• Workshops

• Opportunities for visitors to share their own stories

The aim is to create something people can participate in, connect with and remember.
